Easterseals Hosts Caregiver Conference

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is hosting its 15th Annual Easterseals Caregiver Conference on August 27 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The theme of this year’s conference is “Refill Your Cup”. The topics are pertinent for caregivers caring for loved ones of all ages; however, the focus is on those caring for adults and seniors. This is a FREE event and will be held at The Rollins Center at Bally's Hotel Resort. Caregivers also have the option to log in virtually.

The Keynote Speaker is Daphne Johnston, co-founder and Executive Director of Respite for All Foundation.

Along with in-person exhibitors, the conference includes a panel featuring caregivers offering advice on how they use respite and other supports to refill their cup while they care for others. The Caregiver Conference is one example of the ongoing partnership between Easterseals, DSAAPD and DDDS to address the growing needs of Delaware caregivers. In addition, the Easterseals Community Outreach Program offers resources and support to caregivers through many programs including: The Caregiver Resource Center, Respite Voucher program, FYI Assistive Technology Financing program and the Assistive Technology Demonstration Center.
