When Evie started receiving Occupational Therapy, she was not able to sit up unsupported, reach, bring her hands together, or hold anything. Easterseals therapists helped her learn to play, hold toys, clap, hold her spoon correctly so she can effectively feed herself, color, and safely use scissors. -

Workshop Offered on Caring for Loved Ones with Alzheimer's
Caregivers are invited to join Hands of Hope in Middletown on Saturday, April 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. to participate in a Building Foundations of Caregiving Workshop from the Alzheimer’s Association as part of their Empowered Caregivers Series. The Hands of Hope Respite Program, a collaboration between Easterseals, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Bethesda UMC, will be open to attendees during the workshop and free to guests whose caregivers attend the workshop that day. The program, to be held at Bethesda UMC, is open to visitors before and after the workshop. -
Paws Up for Developmental Disability Awareness Month
When Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services group enters the room, it is all hands (and paws) on deck to help Faithful Friends stay in tip top shape so they can continue the great work they do in the community. While the Easterseals participants are helping Faithful Friends, they are also learning valuable job skills that can lead to full-time, paid employment. -
Pre-Vocational Participant's Love Their Jobs at CHEER
It's hard to find a group of people who bring dedication and a hard-working attitude but also smiles with them. The CHEER Center found that in a group of volunteers from Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services. Participants at Easterseals love volunteering in the community, and thanks to this partnership, they are able to do just that while learning valuable work skills. -
