    Easterseals of Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received $1,000 from the Del-One Foundation for the 2019 Walk With Me Delmarva event. Del-One is the first Gold Sponsor for next year’s event.
  • Easterseals Receives Continued Support from DuPont

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently received a grant from DuPont to expand outdoor programming by adding additional outdoor furniture for their Adult Day Health Services, which include seniors, veterans and adults with physical disabilities. The expansion will help promote exercise and socialization, as well as, the added health benefits for the participants being outdoors, including decreased depression and anxiety.

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is proud to be named one of the top 19 midsize workplaces in Delaware according to the News Journal’s Top Workplaces 2021 survey. The list of the top places to work in the state of Delaware is based on employee feedback gathered through an independently administered survey.
  • Easterseals Named 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Awardee

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that they were one of two organizations named as 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders awardees for Delaware. The nonprofits were selected for their efforts to promote economic mobility through community revitalization and innovative services for children and adults with disabilities. Easterseals was chosen for their new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy for children under the age of three with autism.

    Easterseals Honors Doanes With Volunteer Award

    For their leadership and dedication to improving the lives of people with disabilities, David and Jamie Doane, from Dagsboro, DE, will be presented with the Easterseals Drex Jones Volunteer Award at Easterseals 75th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 19th, at the Chase Center in Wilmington, DE. Easterseals is a leading provider of services for children and adults with disabilities and their families in the region.

The DSPs were identified from each program in Easterseals’ statewide locations.

    Easterseals Expands Services for Seniors in Smyrna

    The recent ribbon-cutting for the new Easterseals day program in Smyrna brought together many families and local and state officials in support of the services being offered there for seniors and adults with physical disabilities.
  • Easterseals Earns Highest Accreditation for Services

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore earned the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in a recent survey of reviewed services. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body for health and human services that evaluates the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services.
