Easterseals Earns Highest Accreditation for Services
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore earned the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in a recent survey of reviewed services. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body for health and human services that evaluates the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services. -
Easterseals Direct Support Professionals Recognized for Leadership
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore employees, Ebony Keaton, of Bridgeville, and Lawrence “Larry” Manokey, of Seaford, were recently recognized with an Honorable Mention as the top Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the State for their inspirational work supporting people with disabilities. They were both nominated by their supervisors and honored at an annual event held by the Ability Network of Delaware. -
Easterseals Artists to be Featured at Rehoboth Art League
Easterseals participants and staff are excited to announce the opening of their Easterseals Sussex Family and Friends Artfulness Exhibition at the Rehoboth Art League at 12 Dodds Lane in Rehoboth, which will showcase the art created by Easterseals adult day services participants. The exhibit is made possible through the Easterseals “Artfulness” program. -

An “Adaptive Canoe/Kayak Program” to help participants with physical disabilities gain greater independence through water sports at Easterseals Camp Fairlee is the winner of the third annual “Bill Adami Fund for Innovation” award. Camp Fairlee, located in Chestertown, MD, serves children and adults with disabilities. -
