Easterseals Supported Employment Employees Are Essential
Easterseals Supported Employment program has been an essential part of our community, Easterseals participant’s lives, and the companies who benefit from the hard-working employees in the program. Easterseals Supported Employment gives adults with intellectual disabilities, including autism, the choice to experience the community through individualized employment. The program matches participants with jobs in local businesses so they can earn competitive wages with the assistance of job coaching and training. -
Easterseals Receives Investment from DuPont for Supported Employment Program
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently received a grant from DuPont to support its Supported Employment program – a program that opens the door to meaningful work and competitive wages in the community for adults with intellectual disabilities, while providing employers with dedicated, productive employees. Each year, Easterseals partners with over 60 businesses around Delaware to recruit and train individuals with disabilities for their workplace. -

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received a grant
from the Welfare Foundation to offer children under the age of three with autism Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. Easterseals was awarded this grant in the Welfare Foundation’s last grant cycle. -
Easterseals Receives Grant from Kent County Fund for the Arts for Artfulness Program
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently received a grant for $1200 from Kent County Fund for the Arts, a fund of the CenDel Foundation to support their Artfulness program. This program brings art to the people with disabilities who attend the Easterseals adult day program in Kent County, Delaware. -
Easterseals Receives Grant from Donnie Williams Foundation
Recently, Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore received a $30,000 grant from the Donnie Williams Foundation to support their Children’s Therapy services in Salisbury, MD. The grant, which will be used to hire additional therapists, will help meet the overwhelming needs of children and families who are already receiving services as well as offer services to those waiting on the expansive waitlist. -

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received a grant from DuPont to purchase tools for intervention kits for children under the age of three with autism participating in their Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. The grant will ensure that each child has their own kit with the consideration of not spreading the COVID virus. -

Easterseals, a leading provider of services for people with disabilities, earned this award because of its dedication to reflect diversity in its workforce and service recipients, as well as its role in building a more inclusive work environment in businesses across the state through its Supported Employment Program. -

Easterseals of Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received $1,000 from the Del-One Foundation for the 2019 Walk With Me Delmarva event. Del-One is the first Gold Sponsor for next year’s event. -
Easterseals Participant Testifies at Joint Finance Committee for Higher Pay for Direct Support Professionals
Mikayla Buterbaugh, of Newark (formerly of Middletown), recently testified at Delaware’s Joint Finance Budget Hearing sharing her experience with Easterseals and pleading with the committee to ensure fair pay for Direct Support Professionals, who support adults with disabilities like Mikayla. -
