    Paws Up for Developmental Disability Awareness Month

    When Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services group enters the room, it is all hands (and paws) on deck to help Faithful Friends stay in tip top shape so they can continue the great work they do in the community. While the Easterseals participants are helping Faithful Friends, they are also learning valuable job skills that can lead to full-time, paid employment.

    Easterseals Participants Volunteer at CHEER

    It is hard to find a group of people who bring dedication and a hard-working attitude but also smiles with them. The CHEER Center, which serves seniors in the Sussex County Region, found that in a group of volunteers from Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services. Participants at Easterseals love volunteering in the community, and thanks to this partnership, they are able to do just that while learning valuable work

    Easterseals Welcomes New Advisory Board Member

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Mark R. Marcantano, JD, of Wilmington, DE, to its Advisory Board. Members of the Advisory Board serve as ambassadors for Easterseals in the community, providing advice and counsel to enhance the organization’s mission as a primary provider of services to children and adults with disabilities and their families.

    Easterseals Introduces 2024 Volleyball Challenge Ambassador

    Brian Perry, of Frederica, DE, is a world traveler, recently returning from Germany where he competed in the Special Olympics World Games as a swimming champion representing the United States. Meanwhile at home, his team at the café at Delaware State University, where he has worked for the last ten years through Easterseals’ Supported Employment program, was cheering him on.

    Easterseals Honors Bank of America with Disability Community Impact Award

    Recognized for its long-standing dedication to fostering an inclusive workforce for people with disabilities, Bank of America will be presented with the inaugural Easterseals Disability Community Impact Award at the 2024 Easterseals Annual Celebration on Tuesday, October 29th, at the Chase Center in Wilmington, DE. Easterseals is a leading provider of services for children and adults with disabilities and their families in the region.

    Easterseals Elects New Board Officers

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently announced its slate of new officers elected to the 2024 board of directors, including: Penny Saridakis as Chair, Pierre Anderson as Vice Chair, Michael J. Tretina as Treasurer, and Jen Mathews as Secretary.
