Easterseals Receives Continued Support from DuPont
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently received a grant from DuPont to expand outdoor programming by adding additional outdoor furniture for their Adult Day Health Services, which include seniors, veterans and adults with physical disabilities. The expansion will help promote exercise and socialization, as well as, the added health benefits for the participants being outdoors, including decreased depression and anxiety. -

Easterseals Named 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Awardee
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that they were one of two organizations named as 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders awardees for Delaware. The nonprofits were selected for their efforts to promote economic mobility through community revitalization and innovative services for children and adults with disabilities. Easterseals was chosen for their new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy for children under the age of three with autism. -
Easterseals Direct Support Professionals Recognized for Leadership and Advocacy
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore employee, Jennifer Cossa, of Hartly, DE, has been recognized as one of the top five Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Delaware for her leadership in supporting people with disabilities. Pamela Montague, of Georgetown, DE, was awarded Honorable Mention in the Advocate category. Cossa, who supports individuals attending the day program for adults with intellectual disabilities in Dover and Montague, who supports individuals in Easterseals Supported Employment program, were nominated by their supervisors and honored at an annual event held by the Ability Network of Delaware. -
Easterseals Celebrates 17 Years with "Hockey4Haxton"
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore celebrates a 17-year partnership with Hockey4Haxton, an event that raises money for Easterseals therapy services for people with disabilities in Sussex County. This year Ike Eisenhour, Executive Director of Delaware Shore Field Hockey, Inc., presented a $1000 check to Easterseals Community Relations Coordinator, Linda Forte. -
Easterseals Camp Fairlee Recognizes Donors of CAMPaign Fairlee
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently recognized those who helped raise nearly $4.5 million to expand and modernize Easterseals Camp Fairlee in Chestertown, MD. A beautiful donor wall was dedicated and now hangs in the newly constructed Activity Center, which, not only welcomes families to the fully accessible camp but also allows Camp Fairlee to be a year-round resource of respite and recreation to families in the region. -

Camp is a rite of passage for many people and that is why Mark Engberg donates to Easterseals Camp Fairlee each year so children and adults of all abilities are able to experience the joy of camp in a safe and accessible environment. -

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received a grant from Highmark Delaware BluePrints for the Community to offer children under the age of three with autism Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. -
Easterseals Awarded Highmark BluePrints for the Community Grant
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore announced that it has received a Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware BluePrints for the Community grant to support their Memory Care and Adult Day Health Services. This funding will allow Easterseals to meet the current challenges of rising expenses to provide these much-needed services while continuing to expand the number of people served with memory and cognitive challenges in their existing Adult Day Health Program. -

Donnie Williams Foundation Presents Easterseals With $10,000 for Camp Fairlee
Donnie William Foundation Board Members, Allen Brown and Mark Granger present $10,000 to Ford Waggoner, Director of Marketing for Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The money will be used to help children with disabilities from Maryland counties: Wicomico, Worcester and St. Mary’s enjoy Easterseals Camp Fairlee in Chestertown, MD.
