Easterseals hosts the only conference in Delaware focused on family caregivers.

When Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services group enters the room, it is all hands (and paws) on deck to help Faithful Friends stay in tip top shape so they can continue the great work they do in the community. While the Easterseals participants are helping Faithful Friends, they are also learning valuable job skills that can lead to full-time, paid employment.

The CHEER Center found that in a group of volunteers from Easterseals Pre-Vocational Services. Participants at Easterseals love volunteering in the community, and thanks to this partnership, they are able to do just that while learning valuable work skills.

team, as they “mix” it up as guest bartenders at the Grain Craft Bar & Kitchen in Newark on Thursday, March 6
from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

When you are a caregiver, it is important to take breaks and thankfully Hands of Hope offers respite to caregivers, like Rachel, and her mom, Sharon.

Recently, Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore received a donation of “Swim Fins” designed by the “LUNATECS,” a team of students from the South Jersey Robotics' Adaptive Device Program. These adaptive tools attach to swimmers' arms to help propel campers with limited mobility so they can enjoy the pool at Easterseals Camp Fairlee.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Samuel Winder as the new Vice President of Finance and Administration. Winder has over 20 years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Mark R. Marcantano, JD, of Wilmington, DE, to its Advisory Board. Members of the Advisory Board serve as ambassadors for Easterseals in the community, providing advice and counsel to enhance the organization’s mission as a primary provider of services to children and adults with disabilities and their families.
