Recently, Crystal Trust donated to Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore to help improve the current aquatic area at Camp Fairlee in Chestertown, MD. Camp Fairlee provides a typical residential camp experience for children and adults with disabilities.

When Dominick David, of Newark, is in his Easterseals day program for adults with intellectual disabilities, his mom, Lynne, knows he is engaged in activities, forming relationship bonds and staying connected to his community.

The recent ribbon-cutting for the new Easterseals day program in Smyrna brought together many families and local and state officials in support of the services being offered there for seniors and adults with physical disabilities.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is excited to announce it has received a grant from the Donnie Williams Foundation to support their Children’s Therapy services in Salisbury, MD. The grant will help meet the overwhelming needs of children, like Conor Pellinger, and families who are already receiving services as well as offer services to those waiting on the expansive waitlist.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore celebrates a 17-year partnership with Hockey4Haxton, an event that raises money for Easterseals therapy services for people with disabilities in Sussex County. This year Ike Eisenhour, Executive Director of Delaware Shore Field Hockey, Inc., presented a $1000 check to Easterseals Community Relations Coordinator, Linda Forte.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Cheryl Corn, of Hockessin, DE, as Vice President of Development.

An indispensable resource for the region, Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is celebrating 75 years of creating an inclusive community for local children and adults with disabilities, seniors, and their families. Though early services focused solely on children’s therapy services, Easterseals has expanded over the years to meet the needs of adults with disabilities and seniors through innovative services to ensure they have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently appointed Maggie Webb, of Bear, DE, as the Chief Compliance Officer. Webb has been working for Easterseals since 2018.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is delighted to announce that Conor Pellinger, of Berlin, MD, will serve as this year’s ambassador for their inaugural “Walk With Me & 5K Fun Run Salisbury” event. It will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 9 a.m., at the Salisbury Elks Lodge #817 located at 401 Churchill Avenue, Salisbury, MD.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently received a grant for $1200 from Kent County Fund for the Arts, a fund of the CenDel Foundation to support their Artfulness program. This program brings art to the people with disabilities who attend the Easterseals adult day program in Kent County, Delaware.

When Beebe Healthcare was looking for employees who would be dependable, hard-working and could work independently, they turned to the Easterseals Supported Employment program and the outstanding workers with disabilities that are a part of it. Thanks to that critical decision, Erin Stevenson and twins, Dontasia and Donnisha Eley are earning competitive wages as a critical part of the team at Beebe.
