    Easterseals Introduces 2018 Volleyball Ambassador

    When Emily Hurst, of Hockessin, first walked through the doors of Easterseals she was very nervous, but little did she know how much she would grow to love the environment, the staff, new friends and, of course, the dance parties. As those nerves faded, Emily’s mom, Julia, has watched her grow into a more independent woman thanks to the skills she is learning at Easterseals.

    Donnie Williams Foundation Presents Easterseals With $10,000 for Camp Fairlee

    Donnie William Foundation Board Members, Allen Brown and Mark Granger present $10,000 to Ford Waggoner, Director of Marketing for Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The money will be used to help children with disabilities from Maryland counties: Wicomico, Worcester and St. Mary’s enjoy Easterseals Camp Fairlee in Chestertown, MD.

    Campers Set Sail Thanks to Adami Fund for Innovation Award

    An “Adaptive Canoe/Kayak Program” to help participants with physical disabilities gain greater independence through water sports at Easterseals Camp Fairlee is the winner of the third annual “Bill Adami Fund for Innovation” award. Camp Fairlee, located in Chestertown, MD, serves children and adults with disabilities.

    Easterseals, Thrilled to Take the Trip with Kenzie

    Experiencing the joy and unconditional love that is Kenzie Pickett, of Lincoln, DE, is one of the world’s great gifts to offer. She can find a friend in any room and knows who needs a hug the most. Kenzie is a three-year-old girl full of sass, spirit and who also happens to have Down Syndrome. Kenzie is meeting her milestones with Easterseals by her side every step of the way.

    Easterseals Camp Fairlee Recognizes Donors of CAMPaign Fairlee

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently recognized those who helped raise nearly $4.5 million to expand and modernize Easterseals Camp Fairlee in Chestertown, MD. A beautiful donor wall was dedicated and now hangs in the newly constructed Activity Center, which, not only welcomes families to the fully accessible camp but also allows Camp Fairlee to be a year-round resource of respite and recreation to families in the region.

    Easterseals Board Member Honored for Volunteer of the Year

    Easterseals Board Member, William “Bill” Short, was recently recognized for Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Kent County. He was selected and nominated by Easterseals for his tireless advocacy for Easterseals Camp Fairlee and people with disabilities.

    Easterseals Celebrates Volunteers – Both Two and Four-Legged

    Bill Sudell may be the ‘official’ volunteer when he signs in for duty at the Easterseals in New Castle but it’s his dog, Skipper, who is the star of the show. For the last six years Bill Sudell and Skipper, an eight-year-old Schnoodle, have brightened the days of the people who attend Easterseals day services.

    Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is proud to announce the public launch of a $4.5 million capital campaign for Camp Fairlee, the region’s only residential camp offering children and adults with disabilities a safe and accessible camp experience year-round. “CAMPaign Fairlee” allows Camp Fairlee to serve more individuals and families that depend on its services.
